Central Baptist Cancer Center:
Central Baptist Cancer Center is the premier cancer treatment facility in the region. Our dedicated physicians and staff provide quality, compassionate patient-focused care. Our cancer services are designed to anticipate and meet the needs of our patients and their families. We are proud to offer state-of-the-art technology, which is utilized in the prevention, early detection, treatment and long-term management of cancer.

Technology:
Every day, advanced technology at the Central Baptist Cancer Center helps us catch cancer earlier, in beginning stages when it’s easiest to treat. Here, patients have access to new and advanced diagnostic and screening capabilities — technologies such as:
  • da Vinci® Surgical System – This high-definition robotic tool enables surgeons to perform more complex operations through just a few tiny incisions, minimizing the need to perform traditional open surgery.
  • CyberKnife Treatment Center – CBH was the first hospital in Kentucky to acquire the CyberKnife®, which concentrates radiation on a tumor with pinpoint accuracy, offers minimal risk to surrounding normal tissue and doesn’t require an incision.
  • Breast Imaging Services – Central Baptist Breast Imaging Services include digital screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasound, ultrasound-guided needle biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy, cyst aspiration, MRI, MRI-guided biopsy, and ductograms. We strive to offer our patients outstanding care using the latest technology, including the largest all-digital Siemens breast mammography freestanding unit in the region.
  • Siemens Biograph mCT – CBH was the first hospital in Kentucky to acquire this imaging device that combines whole-body positron emission tomography (PET) with computed tomography (CT). This device is used to diagnose and stage (determine the extent of) cancer as well as to evaluate the patient’s response to therapy.
